*João de Deus volta ser preso em processo sobre série de estupros*.
Médium conhecido mundialmente foi preso novamente nesta quinta-feira em Anápolis.
O médium João Teixeira de Faria, o João de Deus, de 79 anos, foi preso no início da tarde desta quarta-feira (26) em Anápolis pela equipe do Serviço de Inteligência da 31° CIPM.
Os policiais militares cumpriram mandado de prisão acerca de um dos casos, que corre sob segredo de justiça, dos escândalos sexuais.
João de Deus estava solto desde março 2020. Ele cumpria a pena em regime domiciliar após sair do Complexo Prisional de Aparecida de Goiânia pelo alto risco de contágio pela Covid-19.
O pedido de prisão foi feito pelo promotor Luciano Miranda Meirelles, que coordenou a força-tarefa montada pelo MPGO no fim de 2018 para apurar os crimes praticados por João Teixeira de Faria.
Neste processo, João Teixeira de Faria foi denunciado por estupro de vulnerável envolvendo oito mulheres.
A denúncia, oferecida pela Promotoria de Justiça de Abadiânia, relaciona outras 44 vítimas, mas, em razão de os crimes estarem prescritos ou ter decaído o direito de representação da ofendida, elas figuraram como testemunhas, notadamente para reforçar a forma de agir do denunciado. Os crimes aconteceram na Casa Dom Inácio de Loyola, em Abadiânia.
