A Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), visando fortalecer o desenvolvimento do Turismo local e solucionar demandas apresentadas pela sociedade, iniciou o curso de Capacitação e Mentoria em Turismo para Negócios Turístico no Espaço Rural de Nova Xavantina – MT.
Essa ação iniciou com a realização de entrevistas com os proprietários dos atrativos turísticos do município, feita pelo acadêmico do curso de Bacharelado em Turismo Elvis R. Zuim, e serviu de base para a elaboração do projeto coordenado pela Profª. Rita Garcia, e composto por uma equipe multidisciplinar (administrador, bióloga, turismólogas e guia de turismo).
A Secretaria de Turismo coordenada pela secretária Dra.Geysa Ribeiro Braga Leao está disposta a ajudar considerando a importância desta iniciativa.
A Secretaria Municipal de Turismo de Nova Xavantina em parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Educação vem apoiando esta ação, tendo em vista a importância para o desenvolvimento do turismo da nossa cidade.
